The Absent Star
The Sun was gone
Hearts sheltered in steel walls
Warm and safe they zoomed by,
Alone I walked this barbed alley.
*
Nought moved, hid is the dawn
The heavens wept
The Gods sparked in angst
Their voice blew gales and boomed.
*
The day was ceased passed noon
“Move!”, said self
“No, this is no place”, again self
…please let me be.
*
In absence the Earth’s star
Never once did I looked back
The Angels’ cold voice heralded
My locks were soaked.
*
So She hid from me
Her warmth abandoned me
Instead she’d sent The Angels,
Their tears still warm on my cheeks.
*
Her light did not graced it
Yet the path was clear
The moment I paused…
My journey end.
