By Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm

Your absence
my withered breath
the desiccation of my soul
allow me the fall
to the earth
this awry ego
allow me the delusion of a seed
let me bleed
through the cool pungent soil
let me recoil
from my place
next to
you.

By Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm
