By Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm

the wickedness of a woman
she sleeps with men
(not to mention the women)
the evil deeds
indeed
in her out spoken words
the lies
In who’s demise?
the woman
she stood alone against the sky
the men
the men at her feet hence
Who is the fool?

who knew
she is the foundation of her home
a goddess
her children be bless
Is it more or less?
alone
a fortress
alone
in loneliness
alone a mountain
alone
on her shoulders
the world
(to a kindred spirit Julia Thanh Thuỷ)
