Lê Vĩnh Tài | no. 11:14 – without meaning, there’s no need to remember your name or the poem

Lê Vĩnh Tài, the Vietnamese poet and translator born 1966 in Buon Ma Thuot, Daklak, Vietnam. The retired doctor is still a resident of the Western Highlands, a businessman in Buon Ma Thuot.

Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm, the poet and translator, born 1971 in Phu Nhuan, Saigon, Vietnam. The pharmacist currently lives and works in Western Sydney, Australia.

without meaning

there’s no need to remember your name or the poem

the poem may be created

by a river

drifting into dreams

falling slowly into a valley

.

canyon and wild grass

the old dusty road

you fall on your face

the autumn Mother passed away

.

forever

a poem

it lies under your pillow

as you dream

không còn ý nghĩa

tên của bạn bài thơ cũng không cần phải nhớ

bài thơ có thể tạo thành

từ dòng sông

chảy vào giấc mơ

rơi từ từ vào thung lũng

cái hẻm núi cỏ dại

con đường bụi cũ

bạn té lăn cù

mùa thu Mẹ mất…

mãi mãi

là bài thơ

nó nằm dưới gối của bạn

mỗi lần mơ…
