By Lê Vĩnh Tài, translation by Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm

often

you need something

to write about

or something

to say

not necessarily profound

or small happiness found

.

like yellow

lacklustre sunlight today

.

like her

message this morning…

_____

đôi khi

bạn cần một cái gì đó

để viết

và một cái gì đó

để nói

cũng không có gì sâu sắc

một niềm vui nhẹ nhàng

như màu vàng

nắng hôm nay hơi nhạt

như nàng

mới sáng đã nhắn tin…

By Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm
