Widow

 

What bird is desiccated dead at the door

A door shut for thousands of years in the dark

A sacred curse on an ancient tomb

Yet returned is the declarant in remembrance?

 

Running through the wind you searched for me

The fire of injustice is frighteningly playful, laughing

The cries of an ancient rock avalanche

Time again the footprints were erased by the furor of sand  

 

You recite alone the prayers in a fresh light

The moon hazy, night tired, one dying stick of incense 

A heavenly day sound in the howls of a dog 

Terracotta roofs leaning in falling fruit

 

An illusory flame kindled by the spirits

Lighting white in your hair time

A beating heart resigned as its body goes cold

A distant soul, a firefly lost soundly in the night

 

The trees the bees live to sadly die

In the annihilation of birth you endless cry?

Like a useless old horse

Left outside alone in the moonlight

Con chim nào chết khô trên cửa

Cửa đóng tự ngàn năm bặt âm

Như đạo bùa thiêng yểm cổ mộ

Sao người khai giải chưa về thăm?

 

Em tìm chạy anh ngoài cõi gió

Lửa oan khốc giỡn cười ghê hồn

Tiếng kêu đá lở long thiên cổ

Cát loạn muôn trùng xóa dấu chôn

 

Em độc thoại lời kinh ánh xanh

Trăng lu, khuya mỏi, nén nhang tàn

Chó tru thăm thẳm ngày thiên địa

Mái ngói nghiêng triền trái rụng lăn

 

Ngọn đèn hư ảo chong linh vị

Thắp trắng thời gian mái tóc em

Tim đập duỗi ngoài thân nỗi lạnh

Hồn xa con đóm lạc sâu đêm

 

Cỏ cây sống chết há ta thán

Em khóc hoài chi lẽ diệt sinh?

Thảng như con ngựa già vô dụng

Chủ bỏ ngoài trăng đứng một mình
