By Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm, translation into Vietnamese by Lê Vĩnh Tài
A student forever
the words of the unpublished author
never to be published
never to be printed on paper.
/
There is certainty in such beauty, don’t you think?
/
And, is this not the question?
/
Are you not always alone when you write?
/
I am always alone when I think of you.
There is no “two”.
—
tôi mãi mãi đứa học trò
những con chữ không bao giờ xuất bản
không bao giờ được in
/
/
tôi là một thơ tôi là duy nhất
không bao giờ là số “hai”

Writing is lonely don’t you think? But it’s okay, alone is the only you can find your self right? 🥰

It’s too lonely. But then, that’s the road to creative splendor. 🙂

I feel sorry for those of us that only have one language. Your language is beautiful even though I do not speak it or understand it. thanks for your patience.

Thank you, I grew up with English, I didn’t under Shakespeare until I was in my forties. English is a beautiful language. As for Vietnamese, I’ve been delving into it for the last 5 years, many mistakes, but I love it. I believe anyone can learn a new language. You just need to find a method that is fun for you. Mine just happened to be poetry, I’ve been translating a paragraph, a poem every day before I go to sleep. The blog for the past year was a cool way to share them. I have no patience to count on unfortunately. Thank you so much for your encouragement, I’m hoping to move onto something harder today. 🥰🥰🥰

Thank you Karima, loneliness is a vulnerable human aspect one should be brave enough to accept I believe. Happiness to you my friend, thank you.
