child, you’ve only just returned do you concede

any regrets of not by Thee sewn the wedding dress

the morrow tomorrow

sand in crystal dust in gold

in your eyes dream of our days together

sails of childhood amidst the blinding ocean

our boat floating like flowers

blooming to fill the night

beneath your eyelids the horizon not lost

a green leaf fell to budding seeds

a marriage between heaven and earth

from the origin of tears

equatorial sunlight shattering into warm rain

our homeland reviving impossible white coffee blooms, mild

quiet fragrant winters

falls frosty aching sadness

piercing the door cracks the morning light our homeland shining

light igniting in night dreams

Dreams of proud dancing peacock tails unfurling

the unfurling of a new dawn

dawn rolling out the flowers to shatter the dark

the voice of the Sun and laughter of a girl

your age of innocence child

your footprints remaining forever fresh

the old ways of the forest thought to have been forgotten

trong nắng em có mơ giấc mơ ngày ấy của chúng mình

cánh buồm ấu thơ giữa mịt mù biển lớn

thuyền chúng ta trôi như hoa

nở cho đêm không trống rỗng

dưới mí mắt em bầu trời không lạc lõng

một lá xanh rơi xuống hạt mầm

cuộc hôn phối của trời và đất

từ cội nguồn nước mắt

nắng xích đạo vỡ ra mưa ấm

quê hương hồi sinh bông hoa cà phê trắng phi lý, dịu dàng

thơm mùa đông lặng lẽ

có nỗi buồn rớt giá làm đau

quê hương vẫn tia sáng hàng ngày hắt qua khe cửa

thắp ngọn đèn cho giấc mơ đêm

giấc mơ có đàn công xòe đuôi nhảy múa

như xòe bình minh

bình minh cuốn đầy hoa vỡ tan đêm tối

tiếng nói mặt trời tiếng cười con gái

thành phố tuổi em tóc dại

dấu chân di tích còn xanh mãi

thành phố của rừng ngỡ đã lãng quên
